MOOER Audio has announced three new versions to its popular, compact MOOER Hornet series amp line up. Just like the Black and White models, these newest versions retain their 15 Watts of power, with each variation offering different amp models to choose from.
Each amp in the HORNET series has two control modes, namely LIVE (parameters WYSIWYG) and PRESET (parameters can be stored as presets) modes. The 9 amp simulations have adjustable gain, three-band EQ, and individual volume as well as delay and reverb modules that can be independently controlled using TAP Tempo in real time. In addition, the HORNET series has a built-in high-sensitivity tuner and a Bluetooth playback function with adjustable volume levels and includes a headphone out jack for silent practice.
The HORNET mini digital modelling amplifier is based on MOOER MNRS (MOOER Non-linear Response Sample) technology. It not only has high-quality sound, but also has a high degree of functional integration. You only need one cable to meet most of your practice needs or forget the cable and use the Hornet as a standalone Bluetooth speaker. Features and amp variations are as follows (visit mooeraudio.com to download manual for full list of effects):
HORNET Pink is a fashionable throwback to the classics. It has both modern high gain and classic clean tone sounds. Includes four clean channels based on Fender Deluxe 65, Vox AC30, Two Rock Coral, and Mesa Boogie Mark V (Clean and Distortion channels included).
HORNET Green focuses on classic and retro tones with plenty of overdrive. If your first name is Marshall and your middle name is Orange, this is the amp for you! Keep it lean, mean, and Green.
HORNET Blue is a bit blues and a bit Mr. Blue Sky. In addition to the selected 6 mainstream clean, overdrive, and distortion tones, 3 special synthesizer tones have been added to explore more possibilities of sound, suitable for guitarists who like to experiment (Don’t worry, there’s a 5150 channel just in case).
HORNET Black is designed for high gain player, especially for the metal and hard rock guitarists.
Hornet White is a small desktop style amplifier with fresh design, intuitive control. With 9 different types of amp modes, Hornet White allows you to play with your guitar, bass guitar or even acoustic guitar to approach your favourite tone.
Via the the selector switch on the front of the amplifier you can easily choose from nine painstakingly recreated classic amplifier models spanning almost any genre of music. In addition to the breathtaking amplifier modelling, the Hornet features master volume, gain and traditional three band tone controls, as well as modulation and delay effects with independent tap tempo, reverb, in-built tuner, headphone output, AUX IN, Bluetooth connectivity and the ability to save and recall presets. The Hornet can be powered via the supplied 18v supply or the Mooer Power Bank S10 rechargeable battery power supply to create the ultimate compact battery powered amplifier.
Just as its name suggests, the Hornet is little but ferocious.
